Doing battles ...

October 30th, 2009 at 06:00 am

with the hives. DD is not having an allergic reaction to the Flovent per two nurses. Logically, I figured not. Her system is sensitive under the best conditions, and I think compromised it lowers her thresholds to allergens and my house is probably abounding with them. Anyhow, the cough is improving due to the expectorant. She was a trooper and did the neti-pot yesterday. Been blowing her nose quite a bit. No sore throat. No fever. Just a bad case of the hives. I've given her Benedryl and she's going to school at 10:30. End time is 2:00.

with myself. I transferred all money laying around ($800 in checks) into the savings account - so the EF shows a whopping balance of $10,350. Another $400 check is coming Sunday. I'm feeling more confident in our plans should we have unemployment as a crisis to deal with. Being a planner, I find it hard to plan for the unplanned - (and not a definitely possibility sort of thing).

To be productive, I am joining the group of "To Do" Fives:

(1) Pick up DD's Rx
(2) Take DH's watches for batteries to Sears (coupons expire today)
(3) More concrete plan for Christmas gifts and how to allocate money
(4) Find Christmas cards purchased last year
(5) Better detailed plans for DS's party next Friday
(6) Grocery shop with short list to get us through to Monday

I love the "find the Christmas cards I bought last year". That's a classic for me. I once found a golf putter I bought for my husband in February! A little late for a Christmas present.
