Oldest son turned seven at the end of August. This was followed by the transition into the BTS schedule and the myriad of activities that came with it (4 volleyball practices per week, 2-4 games per weekend, one soccer practice per week, one game per weekend, and a very active Boy Scout Pack/Den list of activities). The promise of a birthday party with his friends was made; it is now time to deliver.
DS thought about a party at someplace "cool" like the indoor amusement park (not as grand as it sounds-but there are go-carts and a small roller coaster) or Chuck E Cheese or the roller skating rink, etc. I was fine with this though it meant less people and more money.
DS has opted out of the expensive party places and is having his party at home.
His list of activities that he'd like to do include:
(1) tie dying T-shirts (in the basement)
(2) watching "Shrek" and eating pizza (in the family room on the floor)
(3) a list of games and activities (still working on this)
Should be a lot of fun - I can say I've never hosted eight 2nd grade boys for a party in my home. This is son's first party like this.
I said I was sorry that it took awhile to get his party planned and executed, and being the sweet laid back guy (most of the time) he is, DS said, "Better late than never ever."

Thanks, cc-free! I've never thought of that - and it is truly "boy-ish".
