Being pelted with little money bullets ...

October 23rd, 2008 at 06:05 am

OK, yesterday allowed me to be in a better mindset than Tues (night following sleepless insanity). I woke up feeling better rested and, frankly, in better control of the brood I have created.

Fast forward to the unexpected expenses of the day:

$116 to the vet for our remaining dog's ear infection (Last child's visit to the wellness clinic at Walgreens for an ear infection was $59 - double that for my dog?)

$295 to repair the leaking pipe/bathtub at the rental property. This could have been a whole lot more given it it s 60s ranch house that has original pipes. Aside from the snafu of me waiting for a quote that didn't come, service tech had the tenant's number not mine. The cost for repair is $325 less $30 coupon brings it to $295.

These repairs will not sink me. They will prevent me from reaching my November goals, but if I remain fluid in my expectations of achieving my concrete goals I will be OK.

Hopefully there aren't any more little bullets coming my way today!
